2. Secure Professional Assistance: Estate planning can vary based on location. Consider seeking professional guidance from an attorney or financial advisor experienced in your specific state or country, as their expertise can ensure a smooth and efficient process.

3. Update or Create Your Will: Decide whether you wish to leave a specific dollar amount or a percentage of your estate to Water4Life Mozambique. This will guide the creation or revision of your will.

We offer sample language below that can be incorporated into your will:

Direct Gift: A gift of a specific dollar amount or fixed percentage that can be used where the need is greatest: “I hereby give, devise, and bequeath to Water4Life Mozambique (insert dollar amount) OR (insert percentage amount) of my estate to be used for its unrestricted use and purpose.”

Residual Gift: Leaves any remainder after all other bequests have been paid. “I hereby give, devise, and bequeath to the Water4Life Mozambique, all or (insert percentage amount) percent of the residue of my estate to be used for its unrestricted use and purpose.”

Contingency Gift: Takes effect only if a primary intention can’t be met. “If any of the beneficiaries named in this will should pass away before becoming entitled to receive their distributive share of my estate, I direct my trustee to pay or transfer the share to which such beneficiary would otherwise be entitled, to Water4Life Mozambique for its unrestricted use and purpose.”
