Bringing clean water to remote villages in Mozambique, Africa-GG 2095259 (2019-2020) and Rotary Clubs Partnership 1 (2021-2022)

Clean water frees women and girls from the daily drudgery of hauling 40 lb containers of water. Girls can go to school, families can plant vegetable gardens, and villages find renewed health and life.
Without a village well, women and girls must travel 2-10 miles every day to fetch water from contaminated water holes. This is their daily life.
Water4Life Mozambique has drilled wells in almost 200 villages in Zambezia Province. With the support of Rotary Clubs, more and more villages can be provided with readily available CLEAN water.

Rotarians are dedicated to impacting lives both locally and around the world.

Seven villages and schools experiencing high death incidents due to dirty water and contaminated diseases asked for help. After application and assessment, these communities were selected and blessed with a Water Well and hand pump in December 2020. In April 2021, the Country Host Club of Beira inspected the new water wells. A plaque with each Rotary Club and District Name was placed on the well as the water well was dedicated.

Each water well serves approximately 1,200 people, bringing the seven wells that will provide clean, safe water to more than 8400 women, men, and children.

Through Global Grants and Club Partnerships, we seek to fund large international humanitarian projects, scholarships, and vocational training teams that have sustainable and measurable results in one or more of Rotary's areas of focus.
