See Our Wells

See where your impact flows.

Every well tells a story of cleaner water, healthier families, and brighter futures. When you partner with Water4Life Mozambique as a clean water charity in Africa, your impact doesn’t vanish into a spreadsheet. It flows straight into villages that can now drink, cook, grow, and live with dignity. Scroll below to see where we work, how our wells are built, and the difference clean water makes, one girl and one village at a time.

Where Our Wells Are Located

Transparency you can see.

As a 100% donation model charity, we believe you deserve proof of impact. That’s why every Water4Life well is mapped, photographed, and recorded, so you can see exactly where your generosity flows.
Each pin on the map represents a community-owned water project with a working well, drilled and maintained by our Mozambican team and in-country partners, including local churches and faith-based charities in Africa.

400+ Wells Drilled

Each one providing clean, safe water right where it’s needed most.

480,000+ People Served

Children, families, and communities now thriving with health and hope.

100% Still Functioning
All our wells drilled to date are still providing water and hope to families in Mozambique.
Countless Lives Changed

Because every new well means safety for women, education for girls, and opportunity for all.

Twice as deep. Half the cost. Built to last.

We drill our wells differently because lasting change takes depth.

Most organizations stop at shallow water tables that dry up in the hot season. Our in-house Mozambican teams drill nearly twice as deep to reach stable aquifers, ensuring water flows year-round. The cost to drill a well in Africa through Water4Life is just $6,900, about half the industry average. Every time you build a well in Africa with us, you’re creating a sustainable water project that serves families for decades. Every well uses a simple, sustainable hand-pump system that requires no electricity and minimal maintenance. Each community receives tools, training, and spare parts, equipping local leaders to empower their villages with clean water so they can keep their wells running for generations.

Average depth:
100 feet
Output: ≈ 4,500 gallons/day
Families served: ≈ 180 per well
Families served: ≈ 180 per well
Cost: $6,900 per well
(about half the industry average)

We build every well the right way, not the easy way, because lives depend on it.

Every village has a story.

Behind every pin on the map is a community transformed. Meet a few of them below and see what happens when clean water and hope arrive together.

Real Stories, Real Change

Amelia, Missal Village: “Before the good people came to our village, me and my daughters walked many miles to the river to find water. Some dangerous animals drink water there and get in the river, too. Sometimes animals are still there when we come and we have to wait for them to leave.”

"A Well That Won't Take Water, Can't Give Water!"

Those are the words my dad said to me as we filled the well casing to the brim with water.

On Saturdays, when I was in grade school, my father would wake me up early. It was my job to go help my Dad in his plumbing business. (He was a plumber and a full-time pastor). Dad wouldn’t take any excuses from me, although I always tried to think of one. I hated to go; I wanted to sleep late and then watch cartoons, like every other kid I knew.

Don't Drink the Water!

Pastor Abel Nove, church planting pastor in the capital city of Nampula, drinks unsafe water in a village, and pays the price.

He tells us his story: “I left the capital city of Nampula to visit a rural village, Namuali. On the road, I met up with Marta, a young woman from the village. Marta is a young mother of 4, and is 8 months pregnant…”

When a village gets water, a girl gets a future.

Clean water does more than quench thirst: it rewrites stories.
Disease drops. School attendance rises through girls’ education. Families grow food, start businesses, and worship together without fear.

That’s why we believe each of our clean water wells in Africa is more than a hole in the ground; it’s a promise kept to serve with purpose and build with hope.

Because water changes everything. Starting with her.
