About Us / Contact

One focus. One mission.

As a focused clean water charity in Mozambique, we drill deeper, longer-lasting wells at half the cost, so every girl can go to school and every village can thrive.
OUR STORY

From one man’s vision to a movement of hope.

Water4Life Mozambique began with a simple conviction: focus creates force.

When our founder Arnie Eastburn first saw the challenges rural Mozambican families face every day, he noticed how many charities spread their efforts thin across continents, leaving behind shallow wells and short-lived results. He believed there was a better way.

So, Water4Life Mozambique was born with one clear mission: serve one place with sustainable water projects in Africa and do one thing as a Christian water charity in Mozambique: drill wells that last, empowering local communities to ensure every girl has the chance to grow up safe, healthy, and educated.

Today, our Mozambican drilling team builds and maintains every well we install. Local leaders and churches help each community take ownership. Donors, volunteers, and partners around the world make it possible.

Together, we’re not just changing access to water: we’re changing what’s possible for generations to come.

“We don’t just drill wells. We empower villages with clean water to thrive.”
– Arnie Eastburn

Arnie Eastburn,

Founder & CEO

Arnie is the driving force behind Water4Life Mozambique, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing clean, safe drinking water to the people of Mozambique.

After founding and building multiple successful businesses for nearly 30 years, Arnie had an experience that changed his life forever. During a mission trip to Mozambique, he discovered a need that would become his passion for the next two decades and beyond: providing life-giving water to the people who need it most.

In 2014 Arnie harnessed his entrepreneurial skills to found Water4Life Mozambique, and has been leading the charge ever since.

Arnie lives in Southwest Florida with his wife and co-founder Joann. They have been married 54 years, and have two children and six grandchildren.

Latim Redenção Nherezananda,

Country Director

Latim is the trusted “boots on the ground” overseer of all in-country operations for Water4Life Mozambique. He is fluent in 7 languages and helps ensure teams, resources, and government relations are managed efficiently and effectively for the greatest impact.

After growing up in a remote village in Mozambique, Latim’s giftedness was recognized in high school and he received a scholarship to be trained as a chemist in Plauen, Germany. He then spent 11 years in Dresden and Wolfen as a translator, facilitating business ventures between Europe and Mozambique, before an opportunity opened up to return home and become a professor at the Xai-Xai Bible college.

When Arnie was asked to speak on leadership at the bible college in 2002, Latim helped him with translation, and they formed a fast connection that quickly grew into a powerful working relationship.

Latim and his wife Ruth, a hospital director, have five children and have been married for over 25 years.

PURPOSE, VISION, & VALUES

Why we exist, and what keeps us moving forward.

OUR PURPOSE

“To save lives and empower villages for girls and their families in Mozambique through sustainable clean water.”

This purpose reflects both our belief in the urgency of the need and our commitment to lifting up the people. We are not just installing hardware; we’re investing in human potential, starting with the most vulnerable. Clean water is the means; transformed communities are the result.

OUR VISION

“To see every village in Mozambique with a clean, community-owned water source so every girl can have the safety and education she needs to thrive.”

This vision keeps our eyes fixed on the future we’re working toward: a nation where water is no longer a barrier to dignity, health, or opportunity, and where girls and their families have the education and jobs they need to end poverty in a generation.

OUR VALUES
EMPOWER THE PEOPLE
(community ownership)

We don’t change the future for people we help, they do. That’s why every well comes with tools, training, and materials, so each village can keep it running for the long haul.

PARTNER WITH THE CHURCH
(faith partnerships)

We don’t push faith on anyone, but we welcome it wherever it thrives. That’s why we partner with Mozambican churches, so they can keep knowing and loving their communities well.

HONOR EVERY PERSON
(high-touch support)

We don’t take anyone for granted, donor or recipient. That’s why we communicate with clarity and care, so everyone knows they matter.

LIVE IN THE LIGHT
(transparency and accountability)

We don’t hide behind numbers. That’s why our operations are open and accountable, so the closer you look, the more trust you find.

BUILD TO LAST
(sustainable impact)

We don’t chase trends or quick fixes. That’s why we focus on sustainable water projects built with simple systems that last, so our impact can continue for generations.

We’re stronger together.

No one changes the world alone. Our partnerships with faith-based charities across Africa, Rotary Clubs, and local churches make Water4Life Mozambique one of the best water charities to donate to.

When a village gets water, a girl gets a future.

Clean water does more than quench thirst: it rewrites stories.
Disease drops. School attendance rises through girls’ education. Families grow food, start businesses, and worship together without fear.

That’s why we believe each of our clean water wells in Africa is more than a hole in the ground; it’s a promise kept to serve with purpose and build with hope.

Because water changes everything. Starting with her.
